Why New Chandigarh
New Chandigarh is a planned township developed under the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) around Mullanpur, in Punjab's SAS Nagar district. It lies along Chandigarh's north-western edge, with the Shivalik foothills to the north.
It has grown into one of the Tricity's main residential markets, with group housing by several established developers alongside large institutions. These include the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Centre at Mullanpur and the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium at Mullanpur.
